The Wings over Aquidneck
Piper Cherokee 5904U
04U has been our old and faithful steed since the beginning. She has had the privilege of helping countless aviators earn their wings.

She is a 1970 Piper Cherokee 140 or a PA28-140 if you want to be full Avgeek about it. This model of Piper originally had 140 horsepower at the initial release, but shortly after they modified the engine to produce 150 and sometimes even 160 horsepower. You could hear them called Cherokee 150s or Cherokee 160s but that is a misnomer because the model is a Cherokee 140 the name doesn't change based on the current engine installation! 04U is the true Hotrod of all the models sporting the 160 hp engine!

04U is IFR equipped with an AV-30 PFD, Dual Nav-coms, and Bendix-King GPS to meet all of your training needs.
